An average weaver can tie about 10,000 knots a day, a fine high-quality hand-knotted rug can take anywhere from 6-12 months to weave depending on the quality (knots per inch) of the rug and this influences the price of the rug too, higher the knots - expensive the rug is. A hand-knotted rug can last for decades and are more durable than other rug weaving techniques
